Victory Cross Country

Victory Motorcycles is a young company started in 1997 in USA with it's main goal to compete with the H-D, it made it's presence with V92C model with 1510cc V-Twin engine which was easy to modify.

Company kept on building big engines with 1740cc being common in it's model line till 2017 with it's new 1200cc engine in Victory Octane which seems small compared to the rest of the pack as well as the model tested here with 1737cc.

The big passion for motorcycles is seen in all models, we like the attention to details and smooth lines characteristic for this company.
Just watching at it makes you feel good, especially if you like chrome and I mean lot of it - the whole engine is like a mirror with it's big chrome exhaust pipes coming out of it to make the sound only big capacity bikes can produce.

More torque oriented as the name suggests - "Master of Torque" is an very aggressive and futuristic looking motorcycle with it's raw double headlight in the front and the low screen above it that looks like an armor.

It is powered by a modified R1 engine with torque in mind, some of the super light exotic materials were replaced by more common ones because the characteristics of this type of motorcycle don't need high revving engine with lot of power on the top and also it reduces the cost of production and in the end the final price.

Sport touring machines are getting more popular each year and according to the Shun Miyazawa who is the Yamaha production manager it's because the sport-touring bikes are getting more and more powerful and are not far from super sport machines and are more practical for everyday use and cheaper as well.

Considering the fact that not many super sport riders visits the professional race track it's worth to stop for a while and think about the practicality of the not much slower sport-touring class that has a lot more to offer.
